OWLs Magical Readathon 2019 Update

Here are my Exams so far:

1. A subject you wish to teach (Potions): Currently working on!
2. Defense Against the Dark Arts
3. 5 additional subjects of your choice: Herbology completed, Charms started

Hi all! So I wanted to excitedly let you all know that I have successfully completed my Herbology Exam!

For this exam, I had to read a book that had a plant on the cover. As such, I read Settlers by Jessica T. Rogers! It is a fiction novel, told from the POV of many different characters, each settling in their love lives. Will they remain unhappy forever, or will they take matters into their own hands?

Now, on to my other exams! I want to let you know that I am currently working on my Potions Exam (“Next Ingredient: Sequel”). My sequel will be The Wicked King by Holly Black.

I listened to the audiobook of the first book in The Folk of the Air series, The Cruel Prince, and my 4 star review can be found here. Now, I am on to listening to the audiobook of this second book of the series! I am about 15% through it as of now.

I am also working on my Charms Exam (Age-Line: read an adult work) with The Childless Ones by Cam Rhys Lay.

This is sure to be an interesting read! It has dual stories, one of realistic fiction and one of fantasy, moving through adult concepts such as infertility and trauma. I can’t wait to start on this exam later tonight!
