If you want more information on this, here is my original post!
Here are my Exams so far:
- A subject you wish to teach (Potions): Currently working on!
- Defense Against the Dark Arts
- 5 additional subjects of your choice: Herbology completed, Charms completed, Divination completed! Arithmancy in progress!
Hi all! So I wanted to excitedly let you all know that I have successfully completed my Divination Exam!
For this exam, I had to read a book that was set in the future. As such, I read Barriers by Patrick A. Skelton! It is the first book in the Solar Flare Trilogy, set 60 years into the future when solar flares are killing off the human race on Earth. Only those under the new technology of Barriers–set up over a plethora of major cities throughout the world–are safe from the sun. But there are strict rules in a Barrier city, and the government is in control. What will happen to those without a Barrier? Here is the link to my 5 Star Review of this thrilling Sci-Fi!
I also just completed my Charms Exam!
For this one, I had to read an adult work, so I chose The Childless Ones by Cam Rhys Lay. It is about a man and his wife and their struggle to have children, paralleled with a fantasy epic that the man is writing. Every other chapter is set in the real world or in this fantasy world, each with their various struggles in life and with children. I will have a 5 Star Review up later this week!
Now, on to my other exams! I want to let you know that I am still working on my Potions Exam (“Next Ingredient: Sequel”). My sequel will be The Wicked King by Holly Black
I listened to the audiobook of the first book in The Folk of the Air series, The Cruel Prince, and my 4 star review can be found here. Since this one is also an audiobook, it is taking me a bit longer to finish than usual. However, I am about 50% complete, as of now!
I also plan on working on my Arithmancy Exam (work written by more than one author) with Khargaroth: A Tale of the Great Onion Knighthood by Mark B. Frost and Andrew Bunny
Haven’t started this yet, but I am excited to begin!
Are you also participating in the OWLs Magical Readathon 2019? If so, what are you reading? What OWLs have you passed already? Which are you working on? Let me know below in the comments!
