Book Review: Revelation

The novel starts off on a great note. There is plenty of exciting things happening, especially as we experience the novelty and exploration of Tristan's powers with him. Tristan himself provides suspense and thrill, as he is constantly battling both control of his powers and control of his emotions, which are inextricably linked. There is also plenty of humor and witty dialogue, keeping us readers entertained as well as curious. However, as the book goes on, it seems to lose a bit of its focus, which in turn kicks me out of the story. By about halfway through, Tristan seems to be drifting. And not only him, but the story as a whole, because it seems to be as if the entire plot is ambling along aimlessly, waiting for something interesting to happen so that it can find its purpose again.
