If you are unfamiliar with this readathon, here is my original post. I will also include links to OWL Prompts and the Wizarding Careers documents for your convenience!
Ok guys, so here is the final update for my OWL exams! As a reminder, this is the breakdown for exam scores:
Acceptable = 2+ Exams Completed
Exceeds Expectations = 6+ Exams Completed
Outstanding = 9+ Exams Completed
And since I have already decided that I wanted to take the NEWTS to become a Hogwarts Professor, here are the OWLS that I had to take specifically:
A subject you wish to teach (Potions)
Defense Against the Dark Arts
5 additional subjects of your choice
So, how did I do? Well…
I finished a total of 7 exams, giving me an E on my OWLS!
AND those 7 satisfy the requirements for becoming a Hogwarts Professor!
Here’s the breakdown:
Potions (Next Ingredient: Sequel): The Wicked King by Holly Black
Defense Against the Dark Arts (Reducto: Title Starts with an “R”): Rift by Andrea Cremer
Herbology (Plant on the Cover): Settlers by Jessica T. Rogers
Charms (Age-Line: Read an Adult Work): The Childless Ones by Cam Rhys Lay
Divination (Set in the Future): V-World by Nick Berry
Muggle Studies (Contemporary): Sugar: A Novel by Kimberly Stuart
Transfiguration (Sprayed Edges or Red Cover): Barriers by Patrick Skelton
I am ready to take the NEWTS in August! See you guys then!
Did you take the OWLS this year? What was your grade? Which books did you read? Let me know in the comments below!
I went for librarian. I still need to go through all the books I read in April to get my grade. Ha ha!

Oh nice! I was thinking about librarian in the beginning 🙂 Maybe I’ll still change my mind… Though I’ll have to look at what exams a librarian needs
